Bill 168, Occupational Health and Safety Act Compliance Policy Development and Training

Human Behavior, Why We Do What We Do! (90 minutes)
A ninety minute presentation designed for Executive Command, Corporate CEOs and Management. This presentation provides your respective change agents the opportunity to explore the fundamentals of creating a meaningful, sustainable, respectful, and diversity competent workplace, free from harassment and discrimination. Respectful Workplace Education Program (Two Hour, Half Day and Full Day Offerings)
A program designed to create a willingness and ability within your employees to welcome and embrace their accountability and responsibility as it relates to preventing harassment in the workplace. This program is offered in four concentration levels, including, Executive Command, Manager/Supervisor, Investigator and Front Line Staff. Participants will be immersed in an innovative learning opportunity that for each participant becomes a gateway to their individual self empowerment and workplace thrival while ensuring respectful interactions with each other in their respective functions. This program is tailored to meet your organizational needs.
Team Building - The Cornerstone of a Successful Workplace (Half Day and Full Day)
All humans have a fundamental, intrinsic need to be valued and respected in their workplace, not just by their managers but by their colleagues as well. Being valued and respected is a natural occurring event when people at the workplace enjoy a team environment, not just feeling but knowing they play an integral role in the contribution to something that is bigger than them.
By virtue of human beings, being human in the workplace conflicts and disagreement between colleagues may arise. This does not have to mean the demise or compromise of an established team environment. In the absence of established team building concepts at the front end however, such conflicts and disagreements are likely to fester and go unresolved, causing stress, frustration, low morale, a sense of helplessness and in some cases absenteeism. This impacts the workers ability to thrive in the workplace, hampering decision-making skills lending to de-motivated staff. A team approach is integral to the successful functioning of every workplace whether the staff complement is many or few.
AWOE offers an educational opportunity that assists your employees with engaging in resourceful team interactions with each other at the workplace, doing so in a professional, caring and respectful manner, never compromising the dignity and or well being of their co-workers.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) (Half Day and Full Day)
There are times where disagreements between co-workers or clients may occur requiring staff to engage in a difficult conversation and or interaction with that co-worker or client. In the absence of established processes, supported by the Human Behaviour Education Program concepts, unresolved matters create greater havoc, causing employee and organizational un-wellness by virtue of the time, energy and money required to deal with such matters.
In the words of Dr. Candace Pert, "emotions run every system in our bodies". Before people can manage or deal with other people’s highly charged emotions, they must be aware of what emotions are being triggered inside of them as they witness and possibly respond to potentially volatile situations. NVCI delivered in the context of the HBEP allows for this, providing a safe space in which the learner reconnects with their "self" first so that they can discover their ability to be resourceful in their intellect in spite of the emotions that tense situations may call up in them. The learners discover not just that their own emotions are getting called up in them, but what they are and the intelligence behind them. And in that moment they can choose to take the breath that interrupts the pattern of habituated response when that emotion presents. This shifts their internal state from one of survival to thrival engaging resourcefully in a difficult conversation or a situation that requires de-escalation.
